The ARF pension plan is a “defined contribution” plan, where you, in effect, have an account of retirement funds that you actually own. The total amount of funds to be contributed to your ARF account each year is calculated as 10% of your total gross earnings. You contribute 5% (salary including the clergy residence component), and your employer contributes a matching 5% (salary including the clergy residence component).
