Missions Overview

The world is crying out for a remedy. In the midst of deep sorrows, serious injustice, and bitter revenge comes the desire to be healed of the cause of it all: sin in the human heart.

Eastern Canadian District churches are sending workers overseas with the Good News about Jesus Christ, believing with all our hearts that his gospel is the remedy for what is killing our world. In partnership with all the C&MA churches in Canada, we want to identify those in our community God has set apart for bringing the hope of Christ to the world, and send them to live where few have ever heard of his transforming message of forgiveness from sin.

Those we identify, train and send are named “International Workers”, and in order to support this work, churches give to the Global Advance Fund, maintain relationships with the workers and their projects, and commit themselves to praying for God’s blessing on them and those they are serving. The purpose of Global Ministries is “to glorify God by developing indigenous movements of reproducing churches among least-reached people groups”.
